Cuevas La Granja is located in the region of Guadix, surrounded by mountains, which offers the visitor a great diversity of landscapes and natural areas, from the highest mountains of the Sierra Nevada, to the driest parts of the Bad Lands.

Guadix is the largest population center, a city with a rich architectural heritage and a full range of services. Every corner of the area worth visiting, from the Moorish towns of the Marquis, to the neighborhoods dwellings of what is known as "Hoya de Guadix."

White villages, archaeological sites, rivers and mountains, places, monuments ... history and nature combine in this land of contrasts.

The special geological characteristics of the Hoya de Guadix, and Gor and Fardes river valleys , make possible an area that is easily dug and that has led to the cave houses. This picturesque landscape has led to the largest concentration of caves in Europe.

Nature has been generous to the Guadix region, surrounded by protected areas such as: the Sierra Nevada National Park, the natural parks of Sierra de Baza and Sierra de Huetor, as well as beautiful places such as Marchal, Guadix and Gorafe Badlands.
